  27.       To use Cuneiform in MS Windows 3.1 or higher environments,
  28.     the following minimum configuration is recommended:
  29.  
  30.     *  A 386,486 or Pentium PC with at least 4 MB
  31.        (preferably 8 MB) RAM , 4 MB of free space at hard disk
  32.  
  33.     *   MS DOS 3.3 or later , MS Windows 3.1 or higher
  34.     with 10 MB permanent swap file running in 386 enhanced mode
  35.  
  36. 2. Installation of Cuneiform  under Microsoft Windows 3.1
  37.  
  38.     *   Installation must be done under Windows Program Manager by
  39.     typing <Alt>F(ile), R(un).
  40.  
  41.     *   Insert the diskette in a floppy disk drive and run A:SETUP
  42.  
  43.     *   The program will request the hard disk drive and directory name
  44.     where the CuneiForm software is to be placed.

  46. 3. Setting up Scanner
  47.  
  48.     *   Before you will use a scanner it is nesessary to include your
  49.     scanner driver in your CONFIG.SYS file and reboot your system.
  50.     All scanners are usually sold with scanner drivers. These drivers
  51.     must be compatible with Windows 3.1.
